First photos

Today I had a lesson in putting on make-up, and doing a few more creative things with my hair! It's going to take a long time for me to get accustomed to make-up, especially putting on eye make-up! But we had a good time.

Here are a few picutres.

Finally, here are before and after pictures. The before picture is the one that inspired my mom to help me improve my self image!

WOW. (Picture me with wide eyes and a dropped jaw!) WOW.

The most striking differences between the before and after pictures are posture, a smile and happy eyes. You look COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT and HAPPY and BEAUTIFUL! I am so impressed!!!! Happy is a good look for you! :-)

Wow. I'm at a loss for words, really. You didn't just make over your wardrobe, hair and makeup - it really looks like you made over your self-image - the way you perceive yourself. You look happy to be you. I am just praising God with you and John that you have discovered how amazing you really are!

(Being less than thrilled with my own appearance lately, I must say that I'm also a bit jealous!)

Wow. You should see how thrilled I am. :-)

Now is a great time for you and John to get a sitting at Sears or WalMart (or get someone to get a really good snapshot in a pretty outdoor setting) and get a really nice couples photo for your mantle and Christmas cards.

Thank you! It does feel good. I'm still working on the make-up application. Really didn't do so well with mascara this morning, but I'm trying. :) I've been waiting until now to do a Christmas card picture. I'd prefer that it be an outside. But now that I'm ready Seattle has come to New Jersey! It has hardly quit raining. ugh!

Thanks again for your compliments. They are very much appreciated. :)

This is funny. You inspired me. So, when I got out of the shower this afternoon, I resisted the urge to automatically put my hair up in its usual ponytail. At choir rehearsal tonight, THREE people asked if I'd gotten my hair cut! I didn't realize it had been that long since I'd worn it down! :-)

You look fantastic, Christianne! The before and after pics are really stunning! (And as a long-time make-up wearer myself ever since leaving Branson, I can tell you that after you get used to applying it, make-up never takes more than 5-10 minutes in the morning, so it really isn't even an excessive time commitment. Not a small price to pay to feel pretty!)

Wow! I wish I'd checked your blog more regularly - I can't believe I'm a whole month late in saying that you look FABULOUS! That is a hot shirt. :) And I like every single one of the new hairstyles - I don't think I can even pick a favorite.

(Also I have those shoes you're wearing in the second picture in black. Aren't they cute?)
